12 Days of Kid Made Christmas: Day 2 {Stringing Popcorn}

Ok, I have to admit that I was a little nervous about this activity.  I have not introduced the boys to needles yet.  I am happy to say that this activity was a HUGE success and I never should have doubted my boys.

Supplies:
popped popcorn *see below
sting
needle
*We used air popped popcorn so that there was no greasy mess.  I bought a bag of corn kernels and make them in a paper bag in the microwave.  Put 1/4 cup of kernels in a paper bag.  Fold over the top of the bag two times.  Put in the microwave for approximately 1 minute 30 seconds or until popping slows to 2-3 seconds between pops.

Directions:
Thread your needle and put a knot in the end of you sting.  Then start stringing.  Easy peasy!

This was a huge hit for Thing 2.  I think he spent over an hour sitting at the table stringing popcorn.

We now how a couple of popcorn strings hanging on our Christmas tree.

Do you have any crafts that you have done with popcorn?
