Sparkly Playdough

Written by Mommy Cameron | Homeschooling

Thing 2 received a toob of penguins this Christmas.  One of his favorite things to do with all the toob animals is to play with them in play dough.  Thus we had to make white play dough for the penguins, but instead of just enjoying white play dough, we decided to add a little sparkle to it.

Here is the recipe we used.

1 Cup White Flour
1/2 cup salt
2 tsp cream of tartar
1 cup water
1 tsp cooking oil
food coloring

Mix all the ingredients together with a fork in a mixing bowl until the mixture is smooth and one solid color.

Then pour the mixture into a pan and bring to a boil over medium heat.

Stir the mixture until smooth and until play dough bunches up to form a ball.   Take it out of the pan and allow the play dough to cool.  Knead for a few minutes and store in an airtight container.
