{wONEderland} More Farm Play

Written by Mommy Cameron | Homeschooling

This week we continued with our farm and tractor “workboxes.”  Actually, there is more than farm and tractor stuff in the boxes, but that was the some what theme.  Thing 3 is really enjoying the extra playtime every morning while his brothers are still sleeping.

Thing 3 continued to play with the farm puzzle this week.  He loves to make the animals noises as he plays with the puzzle.

He also was introduced to the mini muffin tin with pom poms and the tongs.  I demonstrated how the tongs worked one time and he wasted no time trying to do it to himself.

He really started to enjoy his body part cube this week.  His favorite side was the side with his own picture on it.

Thing 3 also practiced balancing the workbox drawer on his face.  He did this several time, thus the reason I was able to get a picture.

We made it to the park to feed the ducks.  Apparently the ducks were really hungry because one of them came and ate right out of Thing 3’s hand.  Thankfully, he didn’t cry.  Although I wasn’t able to get a picture of the duck eating from his hand I was able to get one of him staring down the ducks after he fed them.  He was really mad that they took his bread.

What has your one year old been up to this week?

Thing 3 is 17 months old.

That’s great he can use tongs already! I like that pom pom with mini muffin tin idea…my toddler would love to try that!

I’ve never taken my kids to feed the ducks…we’ve never lived by a pond. That’s awesome you get to go!

  2. Great ideas with the muffin tin and going to feed the ducks! Can’t wait til spring! I think the giant Canadian Geese here my take my DS’s arm off if we tried to go down to the local river to feed them! (Hopefully we can find some nice small ducks somewhere)
