Bowling & Play Dough

Written by Mommy Cameron | Raising My Clan

We had a wonderful day here in the Cameron house that didn’t involve soccer. Shocking, I know, But don’t you worry soccer starts back in 1 week.

We spent part of our morning bowling as a family. I couldn’t tell you the last time I went bowling. I think the boys have only been a couple of times. So needless to say there was no telling how well we would actually do. Honestly, I just didn’t want to get beat by the boys, I might be a little competitive.

We played two games. The first game, Thing 3 was the big winner of out of the boys bowling an 80 something and Daddy Cameron was the overall winner. I was happy I beat the boys because at one point I was losing, bad.

The second game, Thing 1 won out of the boys, bowling 111. I won out of the whole family. Yes, I want to make sure I document this because it will probably never happen again.

Halfway through our second game they turned down the lights and turned on the blacklights and disco lights. It made is so much harder for Daddy Cameron and I to bowl, but the kids thought it was awesome.

All three boys definitely have their own style when it comes to bowling. Overall, I was really impressed with how well they did.

This afternoon I decided it was time to make some play dough. When the boys were Thing 4’s age, they loved playing with the homemade playdough. It is so much softer and nicer to play with than the store bought stuff and it stands up to hours of play without drying out.

Thing 4 loved the purple play dough we made just for her. She actually sat still for an hour and played with her play dough. The only time she every stays in one place that long is when she is asleep or in her car seat.

Thing 1 and Thing 3 played for even longer. All told, they probably played for close to 3 hours with their blue and red play dough.

Thing 2 joined his brothers when he and Daddy Cameron arrived home from the golf course.

Overall, it was a great day. We haven’t had a day like this in a long time, probably because we have not been home with no other obligations.

Just another day Raising the Cameron Clan!
