Today we got into our school week by having a group of friends over to learn about the artist Piet Mondrian and to create Mondrian inspired Christmas pictures.
Thing 1 was all about this project, he could hardly wait to get started. Art is right up his alley.
Originally, Thing 2 had no intention of doing the project. However, the next thing I know he is rocking out a painting and it looked great.
Thing 3, like Thing 1, was excited about today’s project.
After I let Thing 4 paint last night, all she wanted to do this morning was paint. I seemed to have unleashed an artistic beast. I will say that doing art projects with her is way easier than it was when I would try to do them with all three of the boys when they were that age.
One of Thing 4’s many pieces of art.
While the paintings dried, the kids all went outside a played. The biggest hit was our zipline, where the boys did an amazing job helping all the other kids on the zipline. They made sure that they managed to get at least one turn.
Once the fun on the zipline was over, all the kids headed inside to play with LEGO. All 10 kids hung out and played LEGO together, nicely.
Just another day Raising the Cameron Clan!
