Today we had our homeschool group so that we could make Conversation Heart Catapults.
The boys were super excited about this activity. For one, it involved propelling objects through the air. Secondly, and probably most importantly, it involved candy.
While the group was over the boys practiced propelling the candy hearts into mason jars and a bucket.
However, they then upped their game and Thing 1 decided to propel candy hearts at Thing 2 so he could catch it in his mouth. They were actually successful a couple of times. Thing 1 took it a step farther and tried to propel the candy into his own mouth.
Yesterday, I was preparing for this activity and Thing 4 came to “help” me out. She absolutely loved shooting the conversation hearts around our kitchen.
She later decided that just eating the candy straight off the catapult was the way to go.
Just another day Raising the Cameron Clan!
